Telehealth & Appointments
Telemedicine allows patients to receive mental health care remotely through secure video appointments, eliminating the need for in-person visits. It provides convenient, confidential, and high-quality care from the comfort of your home.
Once your appointment is booked, you will receive a text message or email reminder (based on your selected preference) with a secure link for your virtual appointment. Simply click the link at your scheduled time to join the session.
Most laptops, tablets, and smartphones will have the equipment necessary for your online visit. You will need:
✅ A stable internet connection
✅ A device with a camera (phone, tablet, or computer)
✅ Speakers or headphones for clear communication
To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us at least 24 business hours in advance. Failure to do so will result in a charge for the full service fee as per our cancellation policy.
Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 business hours in advance to avoid being charged the full service fee. Late arrivals may result in rescheduling and could be marked as a no-show. Appointment reminders are sent as a courtesy, but not receiving a reminder does not exempt you from this policy.

Mental Alive does not prescribe high-risk or habit-forming medications, including benzodiazepines (e.g., Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan). We do offer ADHD medication management for previously diagnosed patients who are currently receiving treatment.
Medication management helps control symptoms, enhances overall well-being, and supports a better quality of life for individuals with mental health conditions.
The duration of medication use varies based on factors such as the type and severity of your condition, treatment response, and potential side effects. Your provider will assess your progress and adjust the treatment plan accordingly.
Like all medications, psychiatric prescriptions may have side effects, which is why regular monitoring is essential. Medication management ensures that any side effects are minimized and necessary adjustments are made to maintain effectiveness.
The frequency of your appointments depends on your treatment plan and progress. Most patients have follow-up visits every few months, but this may vary based on individual needs.
Your provider determines the most suitable medication based on your symptoms, medical history, current medications, and overall health profile. Treatment plans are personalized to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Missing a dose can affect the effectiveness of your medication. If this happens, consult your provider for guidance on the best course of action to maintain your treatment plan.
Dosages may need to be modified over time based on symptom changes, treatment response, or medication tolerance. Regular follow-ups help ensure you receive the appropriate dosage.
Discontinuing medication suddenly can lead to withdrawal symptoms or a return of your condition. Always discuss any medication changes with your provider to develop a safe discontinuation plan if needed.
Effectiveness varies for each person. Your provider will track your progress, adjust treatment if necessary, and ensure your medication is helping you manage symptoms effectively.
